In ProofHub, a file version represents each distinct iteration or update of a file that has been uploaded. This allows users to track changes, revert to previous versions if necessary, and maintain a history of revisions. File versioning in ProofHub helps streamline collaboration by ensuring that team members can access the most recent version of a file and track its evolution over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Upload a new version of the file<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Right-click on the file or click on the three dots and select the\u00a0“Upload new version”\u00a0<\/strong>option.

  2. Upload the new version of the file, select people to be notified, click “Ok,”<\/strong> and the new version will be uploaded.

    <\/span>View version history<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Go to the top right of the screen click on the\u00a0“i”<\/strong>\u00a0icon and select the\u00a0“Version history”<\/strong>\u00a0option.

    2. Or you can view the version history of the file by right-clicking on the file or clicking on the three dots and selecting the\u00a0“Version history”\u00a0<\/strong>option.

      Note:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0The current version of the file will appear with a\u00a0current\u00a0label.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      \n\n\n\n

      <\/span>Convert the previous version to the current<\/strong>

        \n
      1. Right-click on the file and select “Version history”<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. A window will open on the right from where you can view all the versions of the file. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click on the “Make current”<\/strong> option to convert a previous version into the current version of the file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Note:<\/span> <\/strong>Once you make the selected version as current, all versions uploaded after it will be deleted.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        <\/span>Delete the previous version<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        1. Right-click on the file and select “Version history”<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Hover over the previous version that you wish to delete and click on the three dots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Select “Delete”<\/strong> from the context menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. A confirmation window will appear on the screen. Click “Yes” <\/strong>to confirm the deletion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Note:<\/span><\/strong> The previous version deleted can also be restored from “Trash”<\/strong>. The restored file will appear like the previous version on the same file.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
