ProofHub offers a feature to import your existing projects from Basecamp. If you’re currently using Basecamp and have ongoing projects, our import functionality simplifies the migration process by transferring people, projects, tasks, discussions, files, and more. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to utilize this import feature:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1.  Navigate to the manage section<\/span>: <\/strong>Click on the gear icon on the left sidebar menu. Select “View logs > Import<\/strong>“.

  2. Import from Basecamp<\/span>:\u00a0<\/strong>Import projects from Basecamp classic, Basecamp next, or Basecamp 3 by clicking the respective “Import”<\/strong> buttons and entering your account details.

  3. After importing your Basecamp projects, they’ll transition to ProofHub projects categorized under “Basecamp”<\/strong>. You can seamlessly continue your work on them, mirroring your Basecamp workflow.

    • Your Basecamp people become ProofHub people, allowing you to assign them to projects, discussions, task lists, tasks, subtasks, and milestones seamlessly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Your Basecamp discussions become ProofHub discussions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Your Basecamp to-do list and to-do\u2019s become ProofHub tasklists and tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Your Basecamp text docs become ProofHub notes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • All your Basecamp files will be moved under the ProofHub files section, except the ones attached on to-do lists and text docs comments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • ProofHub notifies the import, of all the people added to your Basecamp projects, by sending them an email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Basecamp Owner \u2013 The owner of your Basecamp account will be the admin in ProofHub.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Your Projects will not have any project managers assigned. After importing the data from Basecamp, the admin will have to do this manually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • If the user selects the overwrite checkbox while importing the projects, we will overwrite the previous import and any changes made since the initial import.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      <\/span>Note for Basecamp 3 import<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      1. All your Basecamp files will be moved under the ProofHub files section, including the ones attached on to-do lists, text docs comments, and proofing comments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Events (recurring) and Docs in Basecamp 3 are imported as events and notes. The attachment for these sections will be available in the file section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Except for clients, all other users are imported from Basecamp 3.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
